Dr. Lazas is a native of Washington D.C., and received his medical degree at George Washington University. He counts Dr. Richard Snell, his anatomy professor, as his most memorable teacher. Pursuing a Fellowship in Gastroenterology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Dr. Lazas met his mentors, including Drs. Roy Wong, Barry Marshall and Willis Maddrey. Dr. Lazas is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. He and his wife, Kathy, have five children.
